In the style of Despau, the image was done on thick crescent board with varying sized sharpies and Prismacolor markers, then I splattered the piece with ink and spray paint. Part of it is meant to be left unfinished.

Work in progress, you can see a little bit of my reference photo in the corner. I took the image of my model and worked from that.
